Çağdaş Üngör is a professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Marmara University in Istanbul. She got her Ph.D. degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton, where she specialized in China's modern history, foreign policy and propaganda. 

Prof. Üngör contributes to various Turkish media outlets on China-related topics and Sino-Turkish relations. Her recent publications include the co-edited volume Turkey in the Cold War: Ideology and Culture (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2013) and the Turkish language editions, New Horizons in Asia-Pacific Studies (Asya Pasifik Çalışmalarında Yeni Ufuklar, Küre Yayınları, 2020) and Reviving the Cold War (Soğuk Savaşa Yeniden Can Vermek, Strata journal's special issue, 2022).

She has taught courses on current international issues, Asia in world politics, Chinese foreign policy, and media and politics.
