Benjamin Wollam is an International Political Economy and Mandarin Chinese student at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently undertaking capstone research on Chinese outward FDI to African nations and its implications for the global community. His research interests include Sino-American relations, international and domestic environmental policy, and the neoliberal transformation of international institutions. He has conducted research as a policy intern for both Project Vote Smart and the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club. He will spend the summer in China participating in the U.S. State Department’s Critical Language Scholarship Program.
