Andrew Scott Cooper is the author of The Oil Kings: How the US, Iran and Saudi Arabia Changed the Balance of Power in the Middle East (Simon & Schuster: New York 2011), a contributing columnist to PBS-Frontline's Tehran Bureau, and a lecturer in the history of US-Iran relations. He previously worked at the United Nations and Human Rights Watch. Dr Cooper is a specialist in US-Iran relations during the Pahlavi era and also on the impact of fluctuating oil revenues on Iran's economy.
