Motion Graphic Designer

Brief Description

MEI has recently expanded into the multimedia and digital sphere of content, and is looking for a Motion Graphics Designer to assist in its production. The Motion Graphics Designer will design and develop cutting edge infographics and info-videos using the latest software. The ideal candidate will possess a panache for creativity, and an ability to display complex information in a visually appealing manner.

The Motion Graphic Designer will be a key member of the Communications department, reporting to the Director of Public Relations, and assisting in the production of digital content from planning stage right through to the final edit.

Key Duties

  • Assist in designing and creating storyboards
  • Participate in brainstorming session to share new design perspectives and ideas
  • Creatively produce visually interesting and compelling media
  • Design, create and edit short info-video content, including animation
  • Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics
  • Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics
  • Design and create infographics and maps
  • Create digital content suitable for web and mobile interaction


  • Degree in Communications, Visual Arts or Graphic Design
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with relevant software, such as Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere
  • Minimum 1 year experience with video production, creating infographics, and audio
  • Experience with GIS software preferred
  • Some knowledge of the Middle East and US foreign policy desired, but not essential
  • Interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines essential
