MEI is pleased to host Daily Star editor and internationally syndicated political columnist Rami Khouri to discuss recent democratic trends in Lebanon and the Middle East. His presentation will feature an overview of the situation in Lebanon as well as a critical analysis of the impact of US policy.

Mr. Khouri was formerly the editor-in-chief of the Jordan Times newspaper for seven years. He has written for several leading international publications including the Financial Times, the Washington Post and the Boston Globe on Arab issues. Mr. Khouri is an acclaimed Palestinian-Jordanian journalist and currently resides in Beirut. He is a frequent political commentator in US and international media.
