Two Middle Eastern music ensembles are merging into a 20-member orchestra to perform on a
U.S. tour: the Chicago Classical Oriental Ensemble, led by Hicham Chami -- who participated in last December's concert Iberian Mystics: The Music of Three Faiths -- and the Anda-El, East-West Orchestra.
Dr. Avi Eilam-Amzallag is artistic director: two celebrated and internationally-acclaimed vocalists are joining the orchestra: Munshid Abdelfattah Bennis and Lior El Malich.
