The Middle East Institute is pleased to welcome Dr. Paul Pillar to discuss Iraq and intelligence policies after of the war.
Dr. Pillar is a Visiting Professor in the Security Studies Program at Georgetown University. In his twenty-eight year career with the U.S. intelligence community, he served in a variety of analytical and managerial positions, including as chief of analytic units covering portions of the Near East, the Persian Gulf, and South Asia. His most recent position was that of National Intelligence Officer for the Near East and South Asia. Dr. Pillar is also the author of Negotiating Peace and Terrorism and U.S. Foreign Policy.
