Dan Walsh, director of Liberation Graphics and former Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco, started collecting posters on the subject of Palestine in 1974. His collection consists of approximately 3,000 titles at the moment. Mr. Walsh will present a PowerPoint exhibit of 100 contemporary posters, from the 1930s to the present, focusing on the role poster art plays in Palestinian, Israeli and American cultural and political contexts. This presentation will feature posters from many sources, including Western Europe, Africa, Cuba, China, Israel, the Palestinian Diaspora, and many Arab countries.
