
The Middle East Institute, the Foundation for Middle East Peace, and the Palestine Center are pleased to host Hind Khoury, Minister of State for Jerusalem Affairs, Palestinian National Authority.
Hind Khoury joined the Government of Palestine as Minister of State in early 2005, and is responsible for Jerusalem affairs and for raising awareness of Jerusalem as a vital issue in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Minister Khoury has been a leader in Palestinian civic society for many years as an expert in development and women’s and religious affairs. She holds an MBA, and was a principal in the Bethlehem 2000 project. A Jerusalemite, she lived in Bethlehem for many years and now resides in the East Jerusalem suburb of Sur Baher. Her recent Op-ed, “Meanwhile, Israel Grabs the Rest of Jerusalem" appeared on August 11, 2005 in the International Herald Tribune.
